The forthcoming new MacBook Pro is expected to bring an OLED touch-screen, but it’s also now predicted to be at least a little closer to the MacBook Air’s lower weight.

Every detail of the expected MacBook Pro refresh has been rumored, sometimes for years, as Apple hasn’t made even a minor design change since 2022. That includes the expectation that the new MacBook Pro will be lighter, which was first reported back in 2024.

However, Bloomberg now claims that the weight difference will be significant. Reportedly, Apple has redesigned components, making them smaller and so lighter.
