New owners of the iPhone Duo will get an extra treat if they buy it from an Apple Store, with the option to personalize the smartphone’s boot-up screen to greet them by name.

An open iPhone Duo
The iPhone Duo will be available to the public from October 23, with preorders starting from October 12. However, for some customers who opt for the full in-store Apple purchase experience, they can get an extra bit of personalization.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in an X post late on Friday, Apple’s retail stores will have a system that will modify the boot process of the iPhone Duo. When booted up, the iPhone Duo will show on screen “Hello” followed by the owner’s name, such as “Hello, John” when it turns on for the first time.
