Apple’s new smart home controller is the HomeView, and while it’s not shipping in October, you’ll be able to get your hands on it before the end of 2026.

Over the last few months, rumors have intensified about a new smart home device Apple has been working on. With the October 13 event on the way and focused on smart home hardware, it’s finally going to become a reality.

Posted on Sunday in Bloomberg’s “Power On” newsletter, Mark Gurman writes that the smart home hub will be called the HomeView. Using a display and an A18 chip, it will work as the command center for an Apple-based smart home.
